What is up with all these "I hate FED Ex/UPS" threads?

Are you people actually surprised that your packages get damaged? That is why you pack them tightly so the contents don't move around. Wow what a concept! You pay them to get your package there not to handle it like it was fine dinner wear. I worked loading and unloading UPS truck's in college and you are paid to get the crap off the truck as fast as possible not to worry about it.

Because FedEX and UPS do not live up to people's expectations.

What expectations are those?

A BJ when they arrive.

What expectations do you think? An undamaged package.

I don't know. Maybe when FedEx damages something in shipment to the tune of $500. And then even though I had insurance on it, it still takes over a month of wrangling to get my money back.

That they ignore things like "Must have adult signature" and instead just leave it on a doorstep. Like the one about 8,000 rounds of ammo being left under someones deck.

They aren't completely bad. But they are definitely not golden.

America saved the French in WW1??? Did the US even fight in WW1? I always thought it was the Brits who saved them. You Americans aren't taking credit for another war victory are you?

LOL @ur sig D, That's the funniest thing I've seen all day-

I live in a multifamily house (3 floors, each one a diff apt). If one of those people (or even worse someone who used to live there) had that on file, FedEx/UPS counts it as one for everyone at the place. So I was automatically given the option to "leave on site" despite the fact that the name they have on file most likely doesn't live there anymore.

Wow I did not know that. Is there a way to cancel the "leave on site" order?
