what is UltraAGP?

Anyone heard about this? I'm looking at a notebook from Sager and their video is based on UltraAGP using an SiS chipset with shared video from the main memory (up to 32mb)

Thanks.

Hmm.. I never head of this one. Maybe it is just a new cool techy name they made up. Perhaps it supports higher voltage and increase bandwith. Anyone knows?

Could also be a marketing gimmick, since its in a notebook and SiS isn't known for their high-performance graphics (I've got a sis microatx mobo with onboard graphics, which also uses shared video memory). 🙂

Any integrated video chipset (especially SiS) that uses shared video memory is imho a piece of electronic crap. I used to have a PCChips motherboard with a similar SiS chipset, and had nothing but problems with it. Also, integrated video chipsets are SLOW, and most don't (afaik) have OpenGL acceleration, a must for any serious 3d modeling or gaming.
