That's just like keeping it in all day. You can't let a dog run outside and not let him sniff and browse. They have plenty good judgment, and their immune system does fine.
 
Since we are throwing out suggestions, I give my vote to a gremlin. Whatever it is, though, make sure you get rid of it, or else your dog will be right back at it.
 
it kinda looks like the taco bell i had, if i were your dog id shake it around in my mouth too, but never swallow it, never ever swallow it:disgust:
