yep, it says it has 4 tri wing bits. thats kinda expensive for a security bit set though.

I thought those screws are designed to be one way... you can turn it one way, but attempting to remove it will simply cause the driver to slip out of the head..
Am I wrong?? Look at the original pic again...
It looks like it's got enough of a slant (at least on the left one in the pic) on the base of the slot so that a bit would simply slide out.

i would be hesitant to buy those cheapy tool sets. the bits will prolly just get stripped.

You could use vicegrip pliers if you have room to manoeuvre them in the window frame.

What type of screwdriver do I need to unscrew this screw... and where can I buy one?

Hell, if you're going to use a Dremel, you may as well just make a cut for a flathead.Originally posted by: TerryMathews

It's a security head - it's triwing but you can also see the slant where it's a one-way screw. Try to reverse it and the bit will just walk out of the head.
The easiest way to take it out is going to be to use a dremel or other high-speed rotary tool (like an engraver for a bike) to remove the slant on each of the three wings.
