What is this NDA thing i keep reading on anandtech articles and comments?

So im reading the articles on the i7/i5 lynnfield processors and stuff, and the new ATI 5xxx series graphics cards, and all i see is this reference to NDA, i know its some non-disclosure agreement thing or ... beats the heck out of me?

PLEASE LINK or advise or give me the skinny on what is this anandtech NDA thing about?

It means that Anand or whoever wrote the articles signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with ATI or whoever, which means they can't speak on everything because of the legally binding agreement.

I haven't got to read newest articles, so I'm assuming that's what it is.

Non-disclosure agreement. When you're under NDA you know things that you can't "disclose" or talk about. You sign these so companies can tell you where they are going and what they are doing so you can plan better or make better decisions but you can't disclose it. Most of the times it's from manufacturers talking about new product releases and company direction/products.

Pretty much, you just cannot make information that you know public.
