Yes this is an amd forum, how dare anyone post anything that doesn't utterly agree with our opinions that amd is the best in every way at everything and always will be, in fact my AMD 64 is so good it should run for president.

What the hell does that mean? Crying wolf? Do you even know what that story is about????

Anyway... I agree with RichUK. It's getting rediculous. People have been blatantly lying and ignoring the numbers that are staring you right in the face. You call us AMD fanatics or zealots or fanboys. Why? It has nothing to do with brand loyalty... it has everything to do with performance and cost. I had an Athlon rather than a Pentium 3, why? It performed better per dollar. I had a bunch of Athlon XP's rather than Pentium 4's, why? They performed better per dollar. I now have an Athlon 64 rather than a Pentium 4, why? THEY PERFORM BETTER PER DOLLAR.

One could accuse you of being a fanboy because of your username, Dothan. A fair weather fan... Intel creates a decent product and you're all over it, touting it and saying how great it is and how great it will be after more core revisions. All because the brand you're loyal to created something that's better than the competition. Why not make the username "Prescott?" Or how about "Willamette?" Is it because you wouldn't be proud to own an overheating Prescott or underperforming Willamette? Or is it because you're a fan of performance, and the Dothan delivers in that respect? I tend to think it can't be the latter, otherwise you'd realise that the Athlon 64 is superior to the Pentium 4, and that the X2 is superior to the Pentium D.

You don't have to answer to me, Dothan. But maybe do a little thinking... what are you actually trying to accomplish by posting such nonsense? Are you bored and just looking to start arguments? Do you own Intel stock and are hoping to drive stock prices up? Have you been brainwashed by the dancing blue men and would fight to the death to keep an Intel processor in your PC? Or maybe you're stubborn and won't admit you don't know as much as you thought you did on the subject, even when the numbers are plastered all over the internet for you to see?

Exactly my thoughts. The Intel fanboys (mostly all new with 0-200 posts) are coming out of the woodwork lately, and Dothan is a prime example. Intelia and porkster are two more that come to mind.

It's not hilarious, it's pathetic. So pathetic that it saddens me that I may be considered part of it because I post here. I guess I'll go back to the other forums I was visiting during my few months away from AT a while back.

haha, I don't know what war you guys are fighting. I'm not biased to any company, because I just want the best product. I have a centrino laptop and am going to have a 4400+ desktop...I know where the best products are ;)

I've been following Dothan's posts around. Never seen an Intel fanboy so stubborn and pigheaded before; Nope, all Intel fanboys are.

It's halirious to see why they are calling people in anandtech AMD fanboys. They must have say 50 IQ.
Anyone have an IQ of above 80 would know why AMD is a better processor to get RIGHT NOW than Intel. And the intel fanboys seem to be TOO DUMB to understand the fact that We ARE NOT Intel haters.

We belive only benchmarks. If Intel's making a CPU faster than AMD, and with perhaps cheaper, We'd praise Intel.
But out of ALL the benchmarks I read with Athlon VS P4
P4 LOSES EVERY SINGLE ONE
and P4 are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than Athlon
(Excluding X2)

I believe only to facts

Intel has also given me bad impression with their act of monopolizing the market
Recently in Japan many PC companies had admitted Intel offering discounts to manufactures who only buy Intel CPUs. That made me disgusted

But still I ain't AMD nor Intel fanboys.
Fanboys who blindly follows their "master" are just dumb
