and the other ad from AT Deals Scavenger at the top of GH doesn't make any sense either.
Computer Power User is a monthly print publication aimed at people who know that technology rocks. The kind of person who gets his kicks upgrading graphics cards and smashing benchmarks. The type of person who reinstalls Windows at 2 a.m. on a Saturday because his system keeps crashing while he's ripping MP3s.
It's for people who enjoy wireless gadgets, fast Internet connections, and Quake III. People who would rather check out the next exhibit at E3 in person than rely on the latest drivel from some PR flack.
1) Would a real "Power User" need to reinstall Windows in order to prevent a system crash? I know that every once in a while, you have no choice but to reinstall Windows, but for the most part this sort of thing doesn't spell "Power User" to me...
2) I know plenty of "non-techs" who enjoy wireless gadgets and fast Internet connections. And Quake III? Sure, if their computer is from 1998 and their brain is stuck in 14-year-old mode....
3) I've never been to E3, but I'd think that the exhibits there would be just as full of drivel as stuff on a website or in a magazine.
