What is this laptop worth?

I am thinking about selling this laptop because I just dont use it much.

The options I went with were:
15.4" WXGA TFT LCD Display 1280x800 Pixels
IntelPentium® 4 3.06 GHz 533FSB (not sure if mobile or regular)
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB
1GB Kingmax memory
CD-RW/DVD Combo
60GB 5200RPM harddrive
802.11B MiniPCI Wireless LAN

This system is mint and has not been used more than 50 hours total. I bought it last March, so it's about to come out of warranty, but it is in perfect condition. Just wondering what would be a fair asking price for a unit like this?

Ouch! And I paid over $1700 for it about 11 months ago...:|

Was hoping for $1200-$1400. Think that's possible, or am I dreaming?

Yeah, I suppose you could get 1200-1300 if you played it right, but i doubt any more than that.

...well, maybe on ebay, sometimes you get REALLY lucky there.

Sorry, but you can get a NEW Dell laptop with similar or better specs for less than $1200. (much less if you go through Dell outlet and get a refurb).

It might be worth $900, but that would be pushing it.
Used with no warranty sorta kills it.
Plus, it uses the outdated P4 technology, which was fine for desktops.
Now, the Pentium M Dothan is the only way to go.
Much faster than P4, twice the battery life, no heat, and less weight.
Two months ago it could have brought $1200, but now most know about the PM already.

The value of anything "used" is essentially what another party is willing to pay you for it. RobsTV is correct. Check around for new prices on similar machines and then deduct about 35%, and that is a decent asking price. Always be prepared to drop another "C".

Your processor is not an "M" but a regular P4 - big battery hog and crotch burner. :)

laptops like yours without warranty are a hard sell. not many people want to put up a 1000 bill without warranty
