Okay, let's begin
The card is PCI...
It has DDR memory, as confirmed by the ram chips..
it is not VE, as a comparison of the core by Anand revealed..
It IS dualhead, DVI, VGA, and TV-Out
It has the ATI Radeon Graphics logo but with the "TM" but it does not have the "R" by the ATI (right's reserved or whatever)...
Has the heatsink and fan combo, not just hs..
Made In China
sticker on bios has this:
R6
PCI
77701
Sticker on back has this part #
P/N
1027770100 041017

I will email ATI about this..

second thing.
does not boot up in my systems,
recognized as secondary card in WinXP, but does not run, no drivers work, all say they are incompatible with it. it shows up as a Radeon SDR (AGP)..

I'm very confused..
i'll try and get pictures..

Is this what I think it is ??..
A Real Radeon DDR PCI Dualhead?....

anyone??..

Hello,

You might try and compare it to some of the Pics Here. It is a very long article that takes a while to load(56k). It covers the different manufacturers of the new Radeon cards.

Thanks for the link, but that compares 7500 and 8500 cards, none of the pictures on that page correspond to my own card @ all...

but thanks :)..

Hello fellow freak...

I also have a nonstandard Radeon card, which none of the ATI drivers will recognise. They seem to do a lot of 'OEM Specials'...

What I thought was a Radeon VE on my desktop - prised originally from a Gateway PC - is actually a Radeon SDR with TV-out and DVI with Rage Theater, and it requries the Gateway customised drivers to function.

If you don't know exactly which manufacturer's pc the card was pulled from, it's best to do what you've done and email ATI with the 102 number.

Here is a link to the card...

well the mystery has been solved, I got an email from ATI..

"Regarding the identification of your video card:

According to the number you submitted (10277770100 041017), this is a Radeon Mac Edition video card.
This card was manufactured for the Apple Mac systems and will not work in a PC, just as a PC card will not work in a Mac system.

This is why Windows XP is not booting with the card in the system.

i'd use google to see if you can reflash the bios...not sure if you will be able to. i barely recall something like this with the good ole V3's being flash from PC to MAC or vice versa...but not enough to be able to help out...sorry

well been talkin to the guys over @ Rage3D, and they said i can probably flash it to regular DDR, I'll just lose my DVI and TV output..
IF i can flash it back to Mac version later...
I will do that.. :)....
