Okay, let's begin
The card is PCI...
It has DDR memory, as confirmed by the ram chips..
it is not VE, as a comparison of the core by Anand revealed..
It IS dualhead, DVI, VGA, and TV-Out
It has the ATI Radeon Graphics logo but with the "TM" but it does not have the "R" by the ATI (right's reserved or whatever)...
Has the heatsink and fan combo, not just hs..
Made In China
sticker on bios has this:
R6
PCI
77701
Sticker on back has this part #
P/N
1027770100 041017

I will email ATI about this..

second thing.
does not boot up in my systems,
recognized as secondary card in WinXP, but does not run, no drivers work, all say they are incompatible with it. it shows up as a Radeon SDR (AGP)..

I'm very confused..
i'll try and get pictures..

Is this what I think it is ??..
A Real Radeon DDR PCI Dualhead?....

anyone??..

Hmm... very interesting :D If you can post some pics, that'd be better, hmm... sounds like a real Radeon, not sure why the drivers will not work though.

I will try and get some pictures for you quickly....
but all i have is my old 640x480 POS digi cam..
i can post those if you like?..in like 5 mins...

it has 60ns memory on it too, so it's not a new 7500 either....

secondly, this thing won't boot period, it will recognize in winXP, and the fan spins up..

LMK about the pictures..

not a VE, the core is a full size radeon core, check Anand's review...it looks like the sdr core, not the VE core..

it's not the macintosh version either..it came from a Generic PC..

NOT a mac card, the card was bought in a PC system, not a MAC..
that has been confirmed..
i know the description sounds exactly like the MAC edition..
and thanks Spanky...

It does say "Made in China" :) on it..

Have you tried booting up off a DOS boot floppy disk? Does it boot up then? Just a basic test to see if the card even works. If the card would not boot in DOS, then the card is bad or you have video settings wrong in your BIOS.

Have you posted this at Rage3d.com in their forum section? Could try there too.

if it was able to boot to dos I would be happy, does not display anything though..

and yes, i've posted over @ rage3d, here's the fairly long thread over there..

Okay, from what I was told it worked in the original PC, but I am in the process of confirming that..
I'm waiting on a reponse from him ,I have email'd ATI and we'll see what comes up :)..
nothing makes me certain it isn't the MAC card..hell i'm leaning that way myself..just the fact that the previous owner said it worked in a PC..

well we'll see..

Here is a link to the card...

well the mystery has been solved, I got an email from ATI..

"Regarding the identification of your video card:

According to the number you submitted (10277770100 041017), this is a Radeon Mac Edition video card.
This card was manufactured for the Apple Mac systems and will not work in a PC, just as a PC card will not work in a Mac system.

This is why Windows XP is not booting with the card in the system.
