I am using Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 software for bunring CD's with my HP9110i burner. I have successfully burned a copy of WIN2K and other software. When trying to burn a copy of Norton, for example, it keeps failing with the following errors at about the 97% complete stage. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

T0100: I/O error (6C/C5/00) - Write error - buffer underrun occured
T0100: I/O error (6C/C5/00) - Write error - buffer underrun occured
T7127: TrackWriter - Flush Failed
T7118: TrackWriter - Command retry failed

Your read CD is too slow for your burner. A buffer underrun is when the data to the burner lags back and then it aborts the burn . . . result is a coaster.

When copying CDs with ECDC4 (get the latest 4.3 upgrade patch!) always use the copy to HDD option. That eliminates B/U errors.

I nothjing else, copy the entire CD to your HDD in a temp location and then create a DATA CD from it . . . or create a CD Image. Then create the CD from the image.

Unless you have really fast CD ROM reader, you are at risk with a fast burner to Buffer Underruns.

Another work around is to record or burn at a slower speed.

The Norton SW CD is a bootable CD. There are two files that make it so.

keep your cdrom and your cdrw on separate ide channels. if you don't have burn proof, close all other applications while burning cds. you may like to defrag you hdd more often, especially the drive which you make your cd image or copy the cd to as a temp location.

I had a very similar problem, dying at 97%. I doubt very much that the problem is really CD Rom drive speed. I uninstalled DirectCD and the problem went away.
