What is this CPU?

I got a socket A athlon of some sort and its different from every other chip i have seen. The core is a large square, and all the doodads that are usually scattered around on top are located underneath the chip, so the only thing on the top is the core and that is all.

The numbers on the chip are as follows:

AX1800DMT3C
AGOIA 0223RPGW
98906060239
1999 AMD

I know i basically answered my own question in the first sentence, its a socket A athlon yeah, but why is it different from every other athlon i have seen.

A large square core means its a Palomino.

IE: One of the early Athlon XP cores, before the Thoroughbred and Barton etc which were more of a rectangle in shape to look at.
