what is this black stuff leaking from my refrigerator?

there is this black stuff leaking from my refrigerator. it looks like oil but when u touch it, its not wet but its like a gel. its nothing from inside the frig thats doin this, and the frig is still working as if its fine. is this serious? must i turn off my refrigerator?

kind of sounds like the compressor motor might be leaking oil.
