No such thing. There is an F5 Tiger and an F20 Tigershark. The pic shows twin tail engines, the Tigershark is a single.
What you talking about Willis? :p F5 Tigershark here.

The F5 Tiger was the predecessor to the F-20 Tigershark. They have their names mixed up.

Well...my bad. But it's one of those planes. :p

Actually, the F5 has two names: Tiger and Freedom Fighter. It just depends on the release of the plane. But the tigershark is definitely an F-20.

But yes... one of those planes :)

i dont think its an F-5

the front end looks to rounded and the wings and tail just don't seem to fit right.

I don't know much about fighter jets, but a feature that stands out is the rear horizontal stabilizers are pushed up from the tail of the jet, they don't overhang like most US jets seem to have. What planes have the adjustable/pivoting rear nozzles?

That's a relatively new feature. The new F-22 has them.

I think now it's an F5/T-38. I took the image and applied some radical sharpening and inverted the image.
There's only one plane with an ass like that.

The T-38 is/was the Airforce's trainer. The F5 is about 2ft longer with bigger engines and hard points on the wings. The F5 was/is exported to countries who couldn't afford the top of the line stuff.

The engines are too large for an F-5

But it does look like the F-5's used in Top Gun.

Don't think it's an F-5. Look at the back of the tail. An F-5 slopes forward, that plane appears to be straight up and down.

Edit: or possibly even sloped backwards.

I increased its size and sharpened it a little (still fuzzy though)
hehe, I did one better. I downloaded a VRML file of the F-5 Tiger and positioned it as close as I could come to the aircraft in the photo. You be the judge (Geocities link alert):

VRML F-5

I'm still not entirely convinced I'm not seeing a bit of illusion; the top of the plane facing us and what initially appears to be the left jet-nozzle is actually a reflection from the sun. I've been looking at this thing for so long its starting to play funny tricks on me.
