What is this $299 6800GT

Thanks Gentlemen :beer: That makes the Prolink 6800GT look better for $300 to me. It looks like the reference design BFG I had too, and no rebate to mail, and the shipping is less than tax would be.

I just ran SIL1080p on my rig, the average was at 77% by the end of it. I have no PureVideo or nVMedia Center stuff installed, mainly due to my understanding we're all still in limbo for this.

First, you sell a 6800GT to buy a 6600GT for the WMV9, now you're going back??!??! What what what?!?!?



Seriously, you should spend those coins on another 6600GT, and a SLI board. Largely similar gaming performance, retain the WMV9 dedicated hardware acceleration*, and have fun playing with SLI tech.

Position yourself for move to G70 SLI!

Etc.

Maybe we've displeased them with our bickering on ATI vs. nVidia, and Intel vs. AMD, and they deem this world "not good enough" for WMV9 acceleration yet? They're waiting for us to evolve as a species.....

Well my main rig is a dual opteron with 2gb of ram a 4HDD RAID5 and 6600GT AGP Perhaps when the X2 nears release I'll sell this off, grab a SLI board, X2, and join the fun Honestly, this thing make SC:CT and everything else I play except FarCry look great. FarCry is the one game I play that this card just doesn't cut it after playing@my LCD's 12x10 4X/8X and when the SM3 patch hit 8X with the 6800GT. BTW, 2GBs of reg ecc and 2x120gb 8mb HDDs for my $300GT from our mutual friend was good deal to me at the time, thats why I traded Plus he was really wanting one to finish off his fleet at home and I wasn't playing PC games much. I still don't, I play XBOX more than anything.
