What Is This...20% Increase in FPS?

Pulled this from the rage3d.com Radeon Tech Support Forum:

----------------------------

Yes the detonator 10.50 enable steroscopic support. You heard it here
first! And for the first time.... we have stereoscopic support in D3D.
Tried it on several racing sims and it works flawlessly. Benchmarked Quake
3 Arena demo001 in stereoscopic mode and got a 20% FPS increase. Also I
noticed the 3D separation of the image is much better now. Good work
Nvidia!!!

To turn on and off stereoscopic support make two clickable .reg files

<< Just tried them. DON't DO IT! Just for starters I lost about 5-6fps in Q3A and my desktop colour depth and gamma went barmy. Then my first BSOD in WinME. >>

That's from Shagga, hmmm guess they suck.

my first BSOD in WinME

LOL! *falls on the floor laughing*
Your FIRST???!?! I don't know why I find that so funny 🙂

Nothing special about these drivers.

After I installed them, I lost 3-5fps in Quake 3 and 150 in 3dmark2000

I enabled stereoscopic support, lost 200 in 3dmark2000 and 15fps in Quake 3.
