if you plan on going out tonight i would highly recommend going to the east atlanta village. its just a couple exits down I-20 east from downtown and has a great selection of bars. the gravity pub is my local dive bar, the earl is not the same but guaranteed to be packed full of interesting characters and right across the street from the earl is the east side lounge which is a trendy alternative to the other two. if you want to some food before drinking there is grant central pizza and several other small restaurants within the few blocks that is east atlanta village.
