What is the worst character added to a TV series?

Any character not present during the first year of a series is eligible. (We'll assume that if a series didn't run for more than a year, all the characters were bad.)

One near the top of my list is Scrappy Doo. That obnoxious little mutt deserves to die a most gruesome death! :|

at least mulder had some personality...(the witty repartee with scully, the penchant for pornography, etc)

doggett (sp?) just comes across as a mulder-wannabe with a constant poker face, competing with keanu for the &quot;actor with the worst range of emotions&quot; category. :|

i can't believe i'm going to say this but -- doggett is a breath of fresh air to the series. while mulder will definitely be missed, doggett will hopefully add life back to the show. it was difficult to accept it at first, but so far the episodes w/ doggett are good. even the actor himself (david duchovny) is getting tired of playing mulder (on tv). i think the new fbi lady(doggett's ex) is overkill, though. i have a bad feeling gillian anderson won't be renewing her contract after this season!
