What is the Tomato mW setting that's equal to Buffalo's stock 100% setting?

Anyone know? I'd like to simply set the Tomato firmware on my HP-54G to the same as the default on the Buffalo firmware.

Also, if anyone knows the maximum mW setting that produces the best results with this router let me know

Thanks in advance !

It should not matter with the High Power Model.

The firmware can Not control the Power Amp.

However you can try the Default 42mW and 70mW and see if you get any difference.

Default for Tomato is 10mW.. that sounds low. You are saying in Buffalo's firmware 100% is 70mW?

This post claims 100% in the Buffalo is 10mW in Tomato.

Yeah if your using the WHR-HP-G54, you don't need to do anything with the firmware power output as it has a built in wireless amp in it. Provides a much cleaner, stronger signal going through that than ramping up the output power and just sending out a bunch of noise in it. Just because the power output is high, doesn't mean the signal is better, just is more noisier. An amp actually provides stronger, cleaner signal and lower noise.

Isn't the built-in amp ~250mW itself? So that's like turning up most routers without an amp to 250mW in the firmware? Just without the added noise that those routers would receive.
