What is the thread count of your bed sheets?

You should also mention ply...and yarn size for that matter.

Thread count alone is meaningless

To a point. It seemed to me like anything past 400 just felt worse. 375-400 felt like the optimal TC range.

I have no idea, but I couldn't care less. I sleep in a Michelin Man costume.

i have 400 TC, they are ok, but the best sheets i slept on were 800TC... it was so wonderful. It really made a difference to me when falling asleep.
I cannot afford 800TC now, so it was a nice treat, but crappy coming back to our bed!
i would say anything under 400 is kind stiff.

Figures that a woman would know;) Guys don't care about that crap...at least the ones that don't smoke pole.

Once you get above 400 the fibers become thinner and the advantage of a higher thread count is lost.
Approx. 400 is optimum.

youre right they dont. Lemme ask you... does your GF wash your sheets?
i ask because my better half thinks that our sheets are magically washed and put on the bed by little fairies and elves... he doesnt realize that i took the time to find a good deal on the sheets, make them soft, etc, etc, etc. :D

Same to you, you damned press agent.

EDIT: For the record, I don't know what thread count my sheets are.
