What is the temp of ur o/c Celeron 466?

My Celeron 466 o/c 581(7x83) running at 2.05V core voltage. My AGP bus and PCI bus are running at 84Mhz and 42Mhz respectively...I was a bit concerned but things seem OK so far. I've tried 595(7x85) with different core voltage setting, a mere 14Mhz more but it won't even post... The 630(7x90) was my target as it will put less stress on the AGP and PCI bus, but it's out of my reach now..

The CPU idle temp is around 34C at night and 38C at daytime(room temp over 30+C here..HOT!) On full load, the temp goes up to 40-44C. The system temp is around 36-44C. Is it within normal range??

Those temperatures are in normal range.

The reason why you cannot reach any higher speeds with your Celeron is because it is manufactured on the .25 micron process....the physical limit top speed is somewhere between 550MHz and 600MHz or so.

581MHz is already an excellent result for your processor.

I would be very wary of running your PCI and AGP devices so far out of spec though.

I'm aware that the Celeron 466 tops out at around 600Mhz, and I'm more than happy that I can push it to 581Mhz! Just a bit curious though, since it can runs just fine at 581 with 2.0V, I thought I can push it a bit more by raising the core voltage.

Bout the AGP and PCI bus speed....yeah...it concerns me...especially the AGP bus. But I've no way to change the AGP/FSB ratio in the BIOS, it's automatically set for each FSB selected. A 2/3 ratio will be nice. My motherboard is a SOYO 7VCA using the VIA Apollo Pro 133A/694X chipset. Is that a chipset limitation or the BIOS? Anyway I'll check with SOYO regarding the issue.
