My sister is looking for a laptop and her only restirctions are wifi 802.11 (b or g) and bluetooth built in (ie..not using a pcmcia slot)

I would like for her to have it small so she can travel with it.

Any suggestions? I was looking at the Dell X300 but it doesn't have integrated bluetooth

The IBM X31 and X40 support internal Bluetooth. But none of the X40 models they currently have on thier online store have it. Although you can buy the bluetooth module as a replecement part (FRU# 91P7319) for $37.50 and install it yourself. Installation should be easy, you just have to open the access cover on the bottom of the notebook.

Keep in mind that IBM doesn't show every SKU of X31's and the New X40's on their website. Call their 800 number if you don't see exactly what you want.

Also... The X40 was just announced (In the States anyway). It will be another two weeks before you see what's called "general availability' of the actual X40, and supply will be limited at that.... That is another reason why the IBM website has slim pickins at this time.

In Japan, the new Vaio X505 would be the smallest computer with centrino and bluetooth and wireless integrated.
It should come in the US shortly. Sony VAIO X505
