I'm looking to replace the fan in my LOUD power supply. Is there a standard size? Any suggestions on what fan to get? I don't really want to replace my power supply with an expensive one from quietpc yet, I'd rather just replace the fan.
The majority of standar ATX power supplies come with 80mm 12vdc fans, however I see IBM and other OEMS use 92mm 12vdc all the time. But your chances are better than not that it is 80mm 12vdc, especially if you bought the case by itself.
an 80mm case fan (and PS fan too) will measure 80mm along a side; the screw spacing measures 71mm along one edge or 101mm across the center
I don't own a 92mm fan to measure the screw mounting holes, sorry
