What is the secret to winning the gravity game?

get the atom to orbit the ball (or vice-versa, whichever is the one that moves more), otherwise try to keep the atom moving in between 2 gravity bodies (if the gravity bodies are next to each other)

And avoid parallel bodies with a gravity well at the end. You'll just float straight to it.

Yeah, I had a couple levels going until my comet spontaneously exploding. Apparently you can't spend too much time on one level. Haven't passed level 7. I can get to it with all my lives, but I haven't found the secret to beating it.

Obviously, the problem with trying to make a stable orbit is that: you can't be too far out or you hit a wall and lose all momentum, and the masses move around each other.

Is it just me or is the size of the mass not indicitive of its pull at all? I guess they have random densities. That, or they each have the same pull and the density varies based on size. I guess I'm probably taking this too far... :)

reminds me of the penguin game, which I'm too lazy to find a link for. The penguin game had the bonus of tracking the flight path, so you'd get really neat looking spirograph patterns, but it didn't have moving objects with gravity, iirc.

both are cool though. :)

Heck, I'm having a hard enough time just figuring out the game (although I've been completing levels)

I've figured out how the game works, but haven't figured out how to "fire" the atom... All I seem to be able to do is release it.

AHHHHH!!!! I figured out where the atoms started, clicked on an atom, dragged the cursor, and it formed a line. Thus, I thought the atom always started in the bottom right corner. Now I get it :) Atom starts where you place it.

After level 6 or 7, I'd say it's more like chaos... random luck?

My first try (after I figured out the how to release the atom) was a level 10.

edit: what the heck? There's a maximum score on each level? I kept playing levels 1 and 2 until I created a periodic "orbit" on 2. My atom exploded w/o hitting anything.

gdi. This game is a pita! I haven't broken 10k either.

I've mastered level 2, almost. I'd be interested in solutions for particular situations - what to do on level 2 when both objects are close together near one of the edges? 7/10 times, my atom gets the maximum score for level 2. The 2/10 of the time, such as that case, results in failure. (for what it's worth, starting of to the side of a perpendicular bisector on level 2, at a point where roughly a right triangle is formed, has worked very well for me.

How do you deal with the fact that the masses attract each other and move about?

The Gravity game linked in the first post... I prefer 'backfire' off of the same page myself.

I actually released closer to the right edge. You run into an issue if the bottom one hits the bottom, but I was able to go until I exploded randomly. Just kept going back and forth between them as they moved around.

After playing numerous times, I'm quite convinced that luck plays a major role. Like the case I mentioned - level 2, with 2 close to each other and an edge, no matter where you start from, you accelerate toward that edge where they are located. Once you get to the edge, you accelerate into one or the other.

I just want to know how it's even possible to orbit in level 1, since you start at zero velocity.
