I just got a DVD and now want to make movies :) I have a Pioneer 305S in my PC and my wife has a Sony one (japanese model VAIO laptop).

I will more than likely get a toshiba for home use soon.

What would be the burner of choice and a fair price?

Thanks

Chris

Yeah... it's quite annoying since I only use a single drive per IDE channel and only for storage space, at that.

IDE can be used with the SCSI interface, but I believe only certain drives are compatible.

The best of these I am looking for. My other drives are Plextor UltraPlex 40 Wide, Plextor Plexwriter 12/10/32S (soon to be a 40/12/40S writer), Pioneer DVD305S, and a InterSys SCSI PCMCIA reader.

Never thought I would fill up my Additronics Full Tower but once I add in the DVD Burner and a sound card with front panel controls I am filled as far as external bays go :)

Interesting. I stand corrected. So, I should have said they don't make "affordable" consumer SCSI DVD burners.
