I want to watch a scary movie. Yesterday I saw the exorcist and i hated it. It wasn't scary...just disturbing. So, what is a movie that will make me cringe in fear under my blanky and make me PIMP ? :) thx

The original "Aliens" comes close. I still have the impression of my friends wifes fingernails in my thigh.

Got to see it in a big theater though as the darkness and the muddied sound track to keep you on the edge of your seat doesnt work as well at home.

At the time, The Children of the Corn was pretty scary but I am not sure that I would think that now (I was much younger). I would have to go with The Shining as being one of the scariest movies ever.

halloween and the halloween 2 sequel were pretty darn scary! i like horror movies that scare you but don't need all the gore. the first 2 halloween movies fit that to a tee :)

The first half of Children of the Corn is scary... Just turn it off about halfway thru though... Youll want to trust me on that.
Alien is pretty scary too...

Do you mean "Things jump out at you and shock you" scary or psychologically scary? I think there is a big difference...

That's easy! It would be the home video of my mother in law attacking a pot roast that was slow to cook and, thus, throwing her off schedule 15 minutes. She is violent when her feed schedule is screwed with. Poor neighbor kid lost a fingertip, too. It was ugly, man.

<< Fire in the Sky. >>

I remember that movie it had DB Sweeny in it, actually that could of been pretty scary if I was younger and a bit more impressionable.
