<< All that knowledge at 17 and yet you can't get an ecs mobo to work...LOL >>

It's the fault of the two particular ECS mobos I have tried. I know how to troubleshoot for the most part and I seeked help on various forums to no success. One day, I switched to Gigabyte board and voila! all those problems went away.

I have always been able to remove with an old credit card or figure nail and clean up with rubbing alcohol...

All this fight for 1 to 2c when it his highly unlikely the board can't measure that accurately anyways...

Funny post though...

There are many other factors greater than whether the heatsink has been previously used with thermal pad or exposed to petroleum product.

*room tempreature

*power supply voltage flucturation

*air flow

*how long your system has been turned on

So who cares about one degree or two difference in CPU temperature utility read out? It isn't going to make any difference.

When you're in a car, do you go nuts over spart plug #1 temp, spk plug #2 temp.. 3. 4. 5. 6...., coolant temp, oil temp, tranny fluid temp, alternator winding temp to the point of installing +- 0.5°C temp on EACH point and install a in-car LCD system for a sole purpose of displaying those temps?
