what is the Retail clock speed of the Radeon 8500 vs OEM

Retail: core/mem: 275/275 mem is ddr, so actually 275/550
OEM: 250/250

OEM + flash to retail+ overclock: 290/290 :)

i bought a Retail card and powerstrip detects it at 250/250. Is that just a default or what

nope... that's the LE bios, chances are, that card might be made by a third-party manufacturer. but you can still use the flash utility to get it up to speed. personally, i bought the radeon 8500 the day it cam out, only to be surprised/pissed by the fact that it was an LE version and AtI never distinguished them apart, so i'm trying to do what i can in spreading around the flash utility.

Err I thought Ati has legal issues with the flashing program (see here, the first guy who made it available). So get the file while you can :D
