I have been happy with Eset's suite across my devices for about 5 years now. I keep Malwarebytes and Emisofts free scanners on board for cross checking on demand.

To me, all AVs are good nowadays I just care for a light one. Using Avast Antivirus Pro here but I custom installed it so I won't install any of their bloatware like the Software updater, Webshield, Browser cleanup, etc. all I need is a good file scanner

I don’t think it’s viruses we have to worry about anymore. I think web attacks are what we should be concerned about guarding against, no?

I'm using Windows Defender antivirus software on my windows 10 since 5 years ago. It is one of the best free antivirus software still I'm using it never got any issue about using Windows Defender. If you are using Windows 10 or 8 Operating System than you will get by default Windows Defender on your laptop or PC.
