Vantec Stealths are pretty loud compared to Panaflo and Nexus. I've gotten 2 Stealths from Frys, 3 Panaflos from Jabtech, and 6 nexus from Jabtech. So far I've returned both stealths, one slighly loud panflo, and the Nexus are by far the quietest. Note that the panalo also push a lot more air.

i also had 3-4 stelths that became terrible once i relaized how much quieter the panaflos and nexus' were. nexus w/o a doubt quieter than panaflo.

If you're looking at 80mm fans only then yes L1A Panaflos are the way to go. I replaced the ones in my lian-li case and the only things that were audible after that were my old harddrives.

Use the medium speed Panaflo and fine-tune the speed using the Zalman Fanmate 2 fan controller.
