What is the problem with the display in Laptop? graphic card needs repair or display?

Graphics card VRAM is overheating.

Need to clean out the dust in the laptop. The fan may not be working anymore and may need to be replaced.

Looks a strange display problem. Software or hardware issues can cause it.

Go to Settings and change the display resolution to a lower value and check the display.

If the display issue gone, graphics card might be the issue.

Or boot your laptop with another OS (like a puppy linux or any similar usb booting OS) and check if the display has the same problem.
