The main reason people gripe about Bose is because it is the Intel of the speaker making industry, it is in a market where better or at least as good of a product exists, for a much cheaper price.

Thats IMHO

A difference worth hundreds of dollars? Just like asking if a bose system will be better than a clock radio. The answer is yes, but it's not a $2000 difference and that's what all these l33t A/Vers knock it for.

I really don't think this is a valid comparison....intel is constantly innovating where as Bose IMHO is not...and I have yet to see any "alternative" systems be at such a vast price disparity that it is a turnoff to buyers...lets face it, Amd based systems are not that much cheaper than Intel based systems whereas with Bose there are many companies who offer products at considerably less that are of equal or better quality.

Everybody's really hit the nail on the head.

The problem with Bose is they reaally are some of the crappiest speakers out there. But they charge 2000-3000 dollars for it and folks think "well its expensive so it must be the best".

They really are some of the worst speakers made. No joke.
