What is the PROBLEM MOST people have w/ GOLDENBEAR?

IF THIS THREAD Gets LOCKED, or DELETED... I'm sure my stance on such an issue would be even stronger. - Please mods, let this stay.

Seriously now.... how bad can it be that you guys get insulted, annoyed, pissed off, or anything remotely synonymous to such accusations? I mean, their words... you guys say you get pissed off at GoldenBear because he types things that you guys just don't neceessarily agree with? That he says things that you don't wanna hear?

Are you (those who do not support GB) really that effected by text that appears on a web-based forum?? Are you really that insecure to go to Forum Issues to bitch about how your feelings were hurt by a 17 year old Senior?

What is this forum suppose to be? A Slice of heaven? Perfection? Ha, impossible - I believe that we should all just stop looking for excuses and scape goats through one member in the entire forum. When GoldenBear says something that is "derogotory" (which is completely subjective in meaning) are we so annoyed that we feel a need to respond? Does our ego take such a hit that we are forced to retaliate w/ mindless chit-chat? Of course we aren't.. right? We aren't that pathetic now are we?

So then the question arises, why is GoldenBear banned for expressing his feelings? Sure he criticizes other people... but if you'll look at the amount of people who criticize him - you'll see that it's quite unfair... and as far as the argument goes, "He deserves/deserved it" ... heh, pretty bad.

Bring back GoldenBear.

Goldenbear was banned for this thread. He is on a little vacation. Threads that bring attention to another member in a negative way are, and have been forbidden. Once he learns the rules, he will be allowed back.

I don't know why he's banned, but I have no problems with GB.

I've read his threads and thought similar to most people, but after playing some games of Scrabble with him, I could see how his humor actually works and then I didn't really have a problem with him.

It was an injustice... somebody got banned for expressing their thoughts... hmm - isn't there an ammendment out there that allows such line of thinking? Or objects to it thereby?

GB is a dipshit, that's the end of the discussion. Maybe we could make an amendment to make it legal to kill people like him, then you wouldn't be complaining would you?

What were these thoughts?

And the ammendment doesn't apply here. This is a private forum.

Yea, but not in a private forum.

the first amendment only gaurantees freedom from censorship by government, not by volunteers in charge of a free computer BBS.

In your other thread you said he wasn't banned! Did they just decide to ban him, or did one of his posts push em over the edge? Linky to the post?

I cannot believe what I just heard.... why does he warrant such disgust from you?? I'm not interrogating you, I'm just wondering - so please don't take it the wrong way :)

More info here, 20th something reply or so.

GB and I hate each other's guts and never agreed on anything. In this situation I am reserving judgement until I know what is going on. What did he do? Must be pretty serious.

<< people take him too seriously. geesh!

i like GB, except when he lies to me!!!! :p
>>

Yeah, how insecure is it to take something such as, "You're such an idiot" coming from a guy online - to be serious? Honestly now, I mean if he had any correlation w/ you in real life (ie, me and he) then it'd make sense, but in such a case, here? I just don't understand it.

<< I actually like GB more than you, GG!

He's at least a real person.
>>

Hehe, see, if I were as insecure as half the people here, I'd get annoyed and go to FORUM issue and bitch about you hurting my feelings... But, eh - you're just a nerd online, aren't you?

Pretty much!

Lol, I like that =) ... See, I like how you understand that things people say on boards are completely irrelevant to life... and your humor to such an issue amuses me :) Kudos to that.

WTF????? This is a online forum, big deal if ya get banned for a bit...What's with the big 'emotional' email cos a few ppl don't like what ya say...the break will prolly do him good, let him get out for a bit....

<< This morning I woke up with something missing in my life. It was as if someone had performed surgery on me while I was asleep, and took something deep from within me that controlled my will to live. I knew though, that this wasn't the work of a surgeon, a doctor, or even that of God himself. In fact, it wasn't even the fault of the person who makes the decisions in such circumstances, yourself that is--but rather, there is only one person to be blamed for the horrific situation that I am currently in, and that is none other than, myself.

There are many things in my life that I take for granted, such as this roof over my head, the clothes on my back, and the food in my stomach..but above everything else, it was my ability to freely express myself through words in ways that would not be possible in real life. With all things that we take for granted though, we tend to not only abuse it and not be thankful of it..but we also never realize how significant and appreciative of it is in our lives until we lose it..no matter for how long or how much of it we've lost. I can tell you though, even though it's been only a few hours, I feel as if I've lost my freedom, my ability to voice myself to the world, and more importantly than anything else, the ability to say that I belong with the greatest community in the world.

There are lessons to be learned in life, and while it is easy to simply be taught them, it makes a much stronger statement to experience them. And as of now, I now know the true meaning of just punishment, and the lessons to be learned from it. It has put everything into a new perspective, and I realize now that my habits are my sins, and as difficult as it may be to change a daily routine, this experience will be much, MUCH more than enough to forever remind me there is no excuse for wrongness, and that wrongness should never be excused. For as long as I live I will always remember this day when the sun didn't shine, and when the roses were no longer red.

Thank you for your time, and if nothing else comes as a result, I would've had the opportunity to have expressed myself from within my heart, and learn a lesson in life I will never forget. >>

:( I want him here though, it's actually a large part as to why I post... w/o him, it'd be like missing a right arm (yes, a RIGHT arm - and YES, I'm RIGHT HANDED) ;)
