What is the power usage of a GF2 MX400?

The original GF2 MX uses about 4watts,so with a fan add another 1 or 2 watts ,so you can see hardly anything at all power wise.

😕

What about the GeForce2 GTS/Pro? I currently have an Intel i740 (without fan, of course!) and a 230W power supply. Do I need to upgrade my power supply if I have to go in for the GTS or Pro?

should be enough, but if you have a power-sucking cpu then get a 300W PSU

Don't worry about power supply problems with the new GF cards. My friend has a fully decked out system (4 HDs, PCI slots all full, etc) and his system runs fine with a GF2 MX. He has a 235W powersupply.

Basically putting in any video card into your system is unlikely to significanly impact on your power consumption.
