I wouldn't mind having one in the kitchen. Be able to check the news and weather while making coffee and breakfast. But one, I don't have Verizon, and two, I wouldn't pay a monthly fee for it. Now if they incorporated a "mini cell" into it where you could get unlimited minutes from you cell phone as well and made it $20 a month for the whole deal then I would play ball(if I had verizon).
For a desk phone it doesn't make sense as you have the "extras" on your PC. For the cost you can get other VOIP services that don't require a $200 phone. The market is pretty small on this from what I can tell.
