What is the point of the right angle metal bar that comes w/ Plextor burners?

I just bought the 8432A and in the little pouch that held the 4 screws to mount the drive, there was a right angle metal bar. What the heck is the point of this thing? I haven't found a use for it yet.

For manually opening the CD-ROM. You've never noticed that small little hole on the front of most CD-ROM drives? Well the idea is you push the long end of that metal bar into the hole and it will manually release the tray. Useful if it gets jammed, or you need to open it when the computer is off.

Its the complimentary paperclip that serves one purpose.. Emergency Eject using the small hole in the 8432 in between the volume control and the light..

No, its definetly a cd rom opener My plextor also came with one. My pioneer came with a slightly nicer version, it had a plastic handle thing
