I had "MS Natural ..." at work. It was huge. When "FGHJ" is under your nose, numpad is far and RH mouse too far right even for conservative shoulder. Mouse on the left is much more tolerable ... once it starts to find anything and if it is symmetric -- not one of those "for right hand only" shapes.

Swapping the buttons RH -> LH is logical. However, I do know people who are left-handed and do have mouse on the left, but do not swap buttons. Always fun: "Is the mouse on the left? Where is the Button 1?"
Desktop support at someone else's workstation was always painful when they deviated from the norm or used a trackball.

my home computer has right handed buttons as my right handed wife shares the home computer.

same for my grandpa, he would primarily use the mouse LH but would still use left click as the primary.

i've been using trackman for 25 years and they are exclusively RH thumb driven. some people have complained for decades that there's no LH version but there aren't enough lefties to make it worth it. plus i know a couple lefties who use this thing without difficulty.

EasyBall was the best ergonomic trackball but it only had one button. I used one for a few months before admitting defeat.

This one looks interesting but it's a hundred bucks and the add-on switches aren't included.

I can use a mouse left handed(I'm right. Of course :^P ), but prefer not to. I don't really like customizing interfaces of common devices. It might make my use a bit better when I have my gear, but it makes it extra painful when I have to use someone else's. My only customization is changing CapsLock to a compose key, cause CapsLock is useless and stupid. If I were a lefty, I'd just use a normal symmetrical mouse left handed.

I keep wondering why we don't have sort of a box in which we put both hands in and just operate the PC based on tactile feedback. In other words, blind "touch and feel" human interface device.

Or in the past

Getting to truth like in that scene makes user appreciate the Dvorak for lefties.

Dvorak had statistics that regular english is typed much more with left hand on qwerty than with right hand. Regular swedish is written much more with right hand on qwerty than with left ... and svdvorak layout moves all three {öäå} from right to left ...

Right. Problem is most people on these forums are web browsing and operate their joystick with their free hand.

Quoting Nespresso: "What Else?"

It is personal preference how you allocate the two hands to mouse and joystick.
