What is the perfect day for July 4th to fall on?

Monday -- guaranteed 3 day weekend
Tuesday -- likely 4 day weekend
Wednesday -- one day off in the middle of the week? Meh.
Thursday -- MAYBE a 4 day weekend
Friday -- guaranteed 3 day weekend
Saturday & Sunday -- no days off of work, no thanks!!

My vote goes to Tuesday.

Thursday. More likely to get a 4 day weekend. Some people didn't get Monday off this year. Who's going to go to work for 3 days, get a day off, go to work for a day, and then get the weekend?

I am grateful for the time off, even though I didnt need it and dont really deserve it.

My problem is everybody else seems to get off too.
My garbage pickup in on monday. For some unexplained reason, the garbagemen get monday off if there is a holiday any time during the week. And I mean the whole week. If we get a holiday on Sat. or Sun., the the garbage doesnt get picked up.
AT ALL.
I have to wait until the following monday for pickup.

Mildly irritating. Especially when everyone else in town (the tues through friday folks) gets their trash picked up.

I work on a pay by day basis... and I like getting paid! Saturday all the way, gives me time to sleep off the hangover on Sunday.

Friday... That way a 3 day weekend that starts Thursday night and you can get nice and hammered on the Thursday and Friday night and not have to worry about work the next day. Tonight I can't really do anything b/c i have to get up and go to work tomorrow. This year I had a 4 day weekend but it was a last minute decision by management on friday afternoon based on meeting our goal for June. Out of people I know with regular jobs about half had Monday off, and I didn't even know I had the day off till Friday afternoon which was too late to make real plans.

Friday or Monday. If you work a normal M-F job, or attend school, you get a 3 day weekend.

I didn't get a 4 day weekend this year because there was class on Monday, and a mid-term in two of them. Damn summer classes.
