I am wondering if there is a specific name for this type of power plug (see photos).

The cord in the photo came with a Motorola HD cable box, but I would like to get a second cord for another device with the same connection. I have been alternating the same cord between devices, but would now just like to get a second cord. I asked a clerk at a computer store if he knew what type of connection it was, but he said he didn't know, but that it was probably a proprietary plug for these devices and would have to be ordered from the manufacturer. I'm not sure if that's necessary, but if I know the proper name of the plug I can maybe track one down. Thanks for your help.

It's just a keyed power plug, lots of devices have them (laptop power supplies, Sega Dreamcast, lots of printers I've had, etc).
If you can't find one, PM me and I'll send you one for a small fee.

Yea lots of devices have this type of power plug. You should be able to find this at your local electronics store.
