What is the name for the style of hat V wore in "V For Vendetta?"

It reminds me somewhat of the hats that the Pilgrims are usually depicted as wearing, but I was wondering if the hat actually had a specific style name so I could do a proper search for it. Thanks.

I got a hat like that at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. I'm sure they sell a lot of those "pimp" hats in Vegas too or local specialty shops.

technically, no. Fedoras have dents on the top, while V's hat is stiff and flat. I'd say it resembles a fedora, but V's has is not styled in a way that can be found for purchase (outside of buying it as a licensed felt costume accessory). Seems to have been custom made.

I suppose so, buy surely this can't be the ONLY time in the history of hats that this type was ever made or thought up.
