"Next week should be very interesting, if all goes as according to plan I should be quite busy this weekend working on a handful of reviews for you to all enjoy very shortly. I'll leave the explanation for Monday, you won't be disappointed." -anand

"Take care and have a great weekend, you'll definitely be hearing from me on Monday"

I'd go with the abit Kt7 since it has the 3-phase power thing, compared to 2 phase power for the asus. Something to do with lower temps on the MB when you go to high cpu speeds.

for now, ABIT KT7. if you can wait a week or so, MSI Pro2. it you can wait even longer, AMD 760.

if you need to o/c a 1G to 1.3G with the KT7 or Pro2, you will have to do it 12.5 x 104.

I have the Pro 2 coming (I think) from MSI/Multiwave. I have pretty much resigned myself that 1.1 gig is fast enough for a spell.
Heck, I have been using a K6-3 400 for many months ...and that is the fastest I have ever seen ...starting with a 25 Mhz. Intel.
Now to the good stuff.

I would choose the Abit KT7. I can't say as though I would recommend the Raid version, as I own both a Raid and a non Raid KT7 on two identical systems and the Raid performance is not all that exciting. I didn't notice much of a performace using Raid 0 stripping at all.
