Sup, this is my first post here.

Later this year, I plan on building my first PC. I will be building with a AMD 3500+ Venice, ATI X800XL, ect. I'm having a difficult time picking out a motherboard. I'm hearing so many issues about the boards that are out now. I will be doing no overclocking and want a good stable nForce 4 Ultra board to run at stock speeds.

Thanks

Don't count out the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 motherboards. I bought the MSI RS480M2-IL back in February and it's been terrific. I have a Winchester 3000+ and a Radeon X800XL on it. It benches slightly faster than any NF4 Ultra boards that I've seen numbers for with the same components.

The only real knock against the RS480M2-IL is that it's not very overclockable, which you wont' be doing. The NF4 boards are usually only a challenge if you're implementing SLI, I haven't read very many complaints about the NF4 Ultra boards at all. They're a good choice if you want to go that way, but they're not the only choice.

Considering the IGP on the RS480M2-IL will work in conjunction with your X800XL to run 3-monitor multi-display setups using the CinemaDisplay feature, it's an intriguing pick. Good luck!
