I'm still not into the new 266 FSB mother boards yet...
But I'm going to start building lots of servers.

ANy recommendations?
RIght now I think I'm gonna go with the MSI k7t Pro2A. It's cheap and from what I hear pretty stable, reliable, and fast. Tho I heard also some of these MSI boards have some problems.

i don't know but if you look at the system rigs page...more people have msi than asus OR abit...weird. personally...i have no experience with VIA chipsets...maybe soon when this DDR thing settles down. I'm still with the old and almighty 440BX...rock solid...and will run circles around 133fsb chipsets when you overclock it to 133fsb.

Depends...

If you want cutting edge new tech and experiment then I'd say any newer AMD motherboard.

If you want tried and true stability and data reliability use a Intel BX board.

Nothing against AMD MB's like VIA it just does not yet the track record of dependability. If your using a system as a server for users in a business setting that's my suggestion.

Otherwise it makes no difference

I currently Run a server with an ABIT kt7 Raid...It runs perfectly fine and has no problems what so ever. And the good thing about this board is you can have up to 8 hard drives.

For power, performance, and your best bang for the buck, I'd say the MSI K7T Pro2A is a good deal.

Whoa...Read some stuff about Msi k7t pro2A's...some of em have like mass problems and some of em are perfect. It's all about luck I guess.
