Well, I am interested in making a battle bot that I can enter in BattleBots or maybe Robot Wars. There aren't many gas powered bots, so I'd like to be one of the few.

There also aren't enough destructive robots...most of them are lame wedges that don't do anything. In fact, a lot of the designs are pretty dull and uninspired. The cool designs often lack functionality. With the power of a gas engine I intend to set up a powerful hydraulic system...exact details are confidential, but I'll be building the bot around the engine and hydraulic components. I'd like to get in on robot battle competitions before it takes off like the WWF.
Anybody know how much the 600cc engine out of a Suzuki Katana weights? The bike's total weight is about 430 lbs...is most of that weight the motor? The fairing, wheels, frame, tank and all the other stuff probably weigh around 100-150 tops...damn...I think 150 lbs is the max for an engine...plus the 11K redline is a little high for this project.
