I have Virtual Server 2005 R2 and I want to play around w/ linux (both 32-Bit and 64-Bit). I was wondering what is the most popular OS out. All i know of is Fedora....

Really depends on what you want to do with it, which one is the "best". I am partial to redhat and Fedora because I have more experience with those than other types, but Debian is also very good for servers... Suse, and Gentoo are others that seem to be pretty popular. Each flavor has specific strengths and weaknesses, but IMHO for general purpose they are all more or less the same.

Spelling Linux right will add in your research =)

According to distrowatch Ubuntu is in the lead right now, but it's all personal preference. I personally hate to use anything other than Debian.

Debian is great for servers, very stable. Ubuntu is basically debian but more desktop oriented, a bit easier to use with more GUI stuff.
