what is the MINIMUM length for sata cables?

I have a sata raid card and 2 drives, they are close to each other and I don't need the 18inch cables that came with it.
what is the minimum spec for cables?

I don't think there is a minimum spec... I would imagine as small as you can find them is just fine.
