I can't remember the piece of software that comes bundled on the HP media center PC's. I do remember from looking at the website that it's just a regular application where you can use a wide variety of video cards and just buy the remote along with it as well.

I'm much rather go this route than having to fork out the dough for a dell media pc. Does anyone remember the name of the application? It's something with an S....

Thanks

Well, Media Center is an actual Windows XP based product, only installed on HP machines. You can get a freeware HTPC program called MyHTPC.

No no.. not Windows XP media center.. there is another application that mimmicks the features that are offered with XP MC. It's a standalone product, usually can be bought with a winTV video capture card and remote..

I know what XP media center is and what I'm referring to isn't it..

All HP media center pcs run Windows Media Center Edition (WMCE). Dell uses a program on their pcs that is similar to WMCE. Are you sure that you don't have Dell and HP confused. Also I believe that another program called Snapstream (I think thats it) is very similar to some of the video/tv features in WMCE.
