What is the meaning of CL2 and CL3 in memory, with one better?

Hi guys,

It's just me or I totally forgot. So, what does the meaning of CL=2, CL=2.5 and CL=3 in memory? And which is better? Also, does the NanoSecond important?

stands for CAS LATENCY,
the smaller the number the faster the RAM,
the faster the RAM the better

The CAS Latency is applicable to the initial read/write in a cycle and the lower the number the faster it is (lower latency = faster intial access).
