What is the maximum temperature allowed for my processor?

Hi everyone,

I'm using AMD Athlon64 3200+ 939-pin 90nm. I would like to know the maximum temperature allowed for this processor. My CPU has actually reached 44 degree celcius or 137 degree Fahrenheit. I have to let my computer on constantly but I am scare discovering my system was overheated and fried in the next morning. Can everyone help answering my question. Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it.

44C is fine. Just make sure it stays under 60C at load.

Your motherboard BIOS should have a temperature alarm/shutdown value that you can set somewhere. That should help make sure you don't do damage to your CPU.
