what is the max temp of p4 2.8 800fsb 512 cache?

right now i am o/c my p4 2.8c for 3.155 mghz?

it is 102 - 109 F.


is that very hot for my p4 or not?

thats quite low, my p4 @ 2.7 (granted, its using cooler that came with 2.0 celery and with no case ventilation :p ) idles at 50C (122F)

i have not try 5:4 and 3:4 or 4:3 yet.

this is the highest 1:1 i can get.

when i use prime95@3.715, it shut off my pc.

i guess it is too hot for it.

right now i am at 3.50 at 104F when i am not using anything.

p4 2.8c@3.5 right now. ic7

Those temps are good, although it would be easier to post the temps in celcius, since that is what is normaly used for CPU temps...thats about 41c, so thats not bad at all

Couple things:

IC7 reports temps higher than other boards, about 10C degrees higher on average than other boards. 40C idle and 60C load is perfectly fine for an IC7.

If you are trying to OC to 3.7ghz, and the computer reboots, you may need to up the vcore a little. Try it at 1.7v. That is a fairly safe threshold provided you have good air cooling. Load temp should stay under 70C.
